Svend Bramsen Preserve
This property protects 86.5 acres of mature upland forest and over 4,000 ft of shoreline on Manson Lake.
Natural Features
The property includes 4,484 feet of shoreline on Manson Lake. Ecosystems on the property consists of mature hardwood forest with small permanent and ephemeral wetlands interspersed. The abundance of large trees and coarse woody debris make this property excellent wildlife habitat for numerous birds, mammals, and insects. The natural shoreline protected on Manson provides excellent cover for fish and macroinvertebrates, as well as scenic views for lake users.
There are currently no maintained trails on the property, but there may be a trail system developed soon. Visitors can enjoy the property by boating or fishing along the shoreline, or by hiking through the quiet woods to observe the natural features of the property and wildlife.

The property is best accessed via boat from a public landing on the north shoreline of Manson Lake.

MANAGEMENT
The preserve will be managed for silent sports recreation in a way that protects the conservation values of the property. The intent is to allow for public enjoyment of the property while simultaneously ensuring the protection of natural processes and maintaining the integrity of the ecosystems.
