During this season of giving, please offer a year-end charitable gift to our Land Stewardship Program.
Conserving land for generations to come requires that the Northwoods Land Trust has sufficient stewardship funds to care for the 14,312 acres and 77 miles of lake and river shoreline under our protection. Occasionally, we need to seek donor support for specific upgrades beyond what our invested fund can provide.
Listed below are a few examples of land stewardship project opportunities that we’d appreciate your investment in. With a gift of $25, $50, $100 or more, meaningful updates can be made at our properties to benefit our communities.
- Boardwalks, signage and a new entry kiosk at the Holmboe Conifer State Forest in Rhinelander.
- Boundary line marking and surveys for portions of the Last Wilderness Conservation Area lands in Presque Isle & Winchester.
- Establishment of an early detection program for invasive plants at our managed properties, such as the Yawkey Forest Reserve in Hazelhurst.
Please offer your tax-deductible donation to our land stewardship program so NWLT can prepare and budget for these needed upgrades. In the PayPal dropdown menu, choose ‘Year-end Special Gifts’ to have your donation applied to this fund. Thank you!
