Join this fun and educational hike at the Beaver Creek Hemlocks Conservation Area, led by John Bates & Troy Walters. Participants will be hiking approximately 2.5 miles utilizing a combination of newly cleared foot trails, with some venturing off-trail as well to explore the flora and fauna at Beaver Creek Hemlocks. Participants need to bring appropriate footwear, water, bug spray, and rain gear. Directions to Beaver Creek Hemlocks: The property is on Route 182 in the Town of Sherman in Iron County. The parking area is located on the east side of Route 182, across from Fire #387N, four miles south of Springstead and 15 miles east of Park Falls. GPS coordinates are 45.99190, -90.17013.
Note, the below map shows the location of trails that are currently being cleared and marked. The parking area will be fully constructed this fall. This event is meant to showcase the progress being made at the property.
