
Shoreland Owner Workshop (Langlade County)

If you own lake or river shoreland property and would like to learn about best practices and programs to protect water quality and habitat, as well as permanent conservation options through NWLT, please join us on Friday, July 21 at 10 am at the Noboken School Forestry Building on Hwy J in Pearson, 12 miles north of Antigo.
This workshop is co-sponsored by the Langlade County Conservation Department and other organizations.
A light lunch and beverages will be served.
Topics / presentation / discussion include:
- Maintaining water quality through shoreland best practices and restoration options (vegetation management and erosion control). Kathryn Bender-Ream, Shoreland Specialist, Langlade County Conservation Department.
- Permanent shoreland and upland conservation options for private landowners including the basics of conservation easements. Kari Kirschbaum, Land Protection Director, Northwoods Land Trust

Directions to Noboken School Forestry Building: Travel 12 miles north of Antigo on State Hwy. 45. Turn right (east) on Cty. Hwy. J. Travel about 300 yards on Hwy. J to the second driveway. Turn right into driveway and park at the educational building.
