Northwoods Land Trust is hosting an exploration paddle along the shores of the Yawkey Forest Reserve on Friday, September 26 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. The event will start at the public boat launch on the west shore of Lake Katherine at the end of Oneida Street.
Paddling Lake Katherine is a great way to see some of the 4+ miles of undeveloped shorelines and surrounding 400+ acres of forests that the Yawkey family preserved through a donation of land to the Northwoods Land Trust in 2018.
Participants should expect to paddle 2-3 miles and need to provide their own watercraft, paddles, PFD, snack and water
The Northwoods Land Trust is proud to host this event during the seventh annual Wisconsin Land Trust Days event series organized by Gathering Waters: Wisconsin’s Alliance for Land Trusts.
