Hike the Heights at Minocqua Winter Park

Join Northwoods Land Trust (NWLT) for a hike at Minocqua Winter Park on Monday, October 5 at 1 pm.
The hike is a 3-mile (5 km) loop that visits the two highest points at the popular all season recreational facility. This trail is located within the 3,195-acre conservation easement currently held by NWLT, on land owned and managed by the Minocqua Winter Park Foundation.
At this time of year, bugs should be at a minimum and fall colors should be nearing their maximum! Scenic overlooks in the heavily forested, fairly flat part of northern Wisconsin are not all that common, so this should provide great panoramic views. The Yukon and Squirrel Rivers should be visible from various vantage points. This hike is rated as strenuous due to the vertical relief encountered.
