Privately-Owned Properties
Since 2001, the Northwoods Land Trust has been working with private landowners across Wisconsin’s northwoods to help them protect their natural woodland and shoreland properties.
One of our most notable easements is the 3,195 acre Minocqua Winter Park Conservation Easement donated to NWLT in 2011 by Kenneth and Carolyn Aldridge of MWP Preservation LLC. To date this is the largest conservation easement donation to a land trust in Wisconsin. It protects a large portion of the Minocqua Winter Park, a premier cross country ski trail system in the state.
