Volunteer
The Northwoods Land Trust is an organization comprised of members, board members, volunteers and a small staff! We welcome volunteers and would love to have you join our team. Please contact Troy Walters, NWLT Monitoring & Outreach Coordinator, for further questions or to start volunteering.

Volunteer Opportunities
Conservation Easement Monitoring
Attend training in the spring. Meet with landowners to walk the property for the annual monitoring visit during the summer or fall. We attempt to schedule you for property(ies) nearest you. You can monitor one or several properties.
NWLT Property Management
Assist in property management of NWLT owned-lands. Such as installing signage, clearing debris from trails, repairing boardwalks, removing invasive species, and monitoring along the boundaries and within the interior of a property.
If you have experience in property maintenance and surveying of boundary lines, please consider joining us as a volunteer!
Office
Assist with mailings, filings, scanning and computer work.
Outreach
Assist with special events and gatherings, such as lectures, hikes, banquets and more.
Committee Member
Our Conservation Committee welcomes conservation professionals and those with a knowledge and strong interest in natural resources. Our Education Committee welcomes those interested in helping plan and hold outings and events to educate the public on the benefits of land and water conservation.
